Despite the fact Bari is quite a large modern city it has managed to keep the unique atmosphere of small towns. In this city ancient buildings and strict gothic castles border with new trading centres and restaurants, making Bari even more attractive and elegant. Walk along the narrow streets of the city centre to reach the Cathedral of Bari. Built in the 12th century, its crypt is a triumph of Baroque art. In this labyrinthine streets, another fine example of Baroque architecture stands, the beautiful church San Nicola, built a thousand years ago. Castello Normanno Svevo, which was built in 1132, is one of the most notable sights of the city. The Museum of Archaeology is another place of interest in Bari as excavations in the old part of the city haven’t stopped even now, so the museum constantly gets new exhibits. If daytime is traditionally used for unhurried walks on shady valleys, night turns Bari into one noisy discotheque. Trendy bars, pubs, and clubs are ready to entertain their visitors till dawn.

The Calypso Trench (also called Calypso's Abyss) is an abyssal trench located in the southeast of the Ionian Sea, in Greek waters. It is the deepest point of the Mediterranean Sea (5270 m). It is located approximately 60 km off the southern coast of the Peloponnese, southwest of Pylos. It is the deepest ocean trench in a long depression of the seafloor called the Hellenic Trench, which formed as a result of the subduction of the African plate under the Aegean plate. The name derives from the nymph Calypso from Greek mythology.

Mykonos is a popular tourist destination in the Greek islands of the Cyclades group, situated in the middle of the Aegean Sea. In the 1960s, Mykonos became a bohemian mecca and is now one of the glitziest holiday resorts in the country that happily flaunts its sizzling style and reputation. This central Cyclade was for years the premier Mediterranean resort for gay travellers, though recently Mykonos has tried to reinvent itself for a more varied clientele, though nightlife is still very gay-friendly, it is a paradise for any reveller with loud and long nights. Chora or Mykonos town is the main town on the island. It is filled with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed buildings with blue trim, nice restaurants, clothing and jewellery shops, a fish market and a vegetable market. It is one of the most cosmopolitan and crowded towns of the Aegean. Besides Chora, there is only one other town on the island, Ano Mera. Ano Mera is quiter and less touristy. While you are here, visit the Monastery of Panagia Tourliani, a traditional Greek Orthodox Church which has a beautiful iconostas. The island is dry and barren, but there are some fine, sandy beaches, the two most well-known being Paradise and Super Paradise, but there are many other beaches you can seek out around the island. From the charming port, catch a boat out to the beaches or out to Delos, and you will be travelling from the present into the ancient past, from one set of myths to another.

Olympia is a town in Peloponnese. This was the site of the original Olympic Games. The games, held every four years in honor of the Greek god Zeus, lasted through the entire Classical Age. The central sanctuary or Altis included temples, altars, shrines, and public buildings for both religious and profane purposes. The flame for each modern Olympic Games is still lit in the town, by a reflection of sunlight in a parabolic mirror, and carried by torch to the place where the games are to be held.

Velencéhez semmi nem fogható. A lagúnára épült, páratlanul gazdag város évszázadok óta vonzza a művészeket, kereskedőket, tudósokat és persze a turistákat. Nevezték a legromantikusabbnak, az Adria királynőjének és a legfenségesebbnek (La Serenissima), és aki Velencébe látogat, hamar ráérez, hogy miért – még akkor is, ha ma már évente mintegy 15 millió turistatársával kell osztoznia az élményen. Ikonikus nevezetességeit, a Szent Márk teret és a Szent Márk Bazilikát, a Dózse-palotát, a Sóhajok hídját, a Canale Grandét vagy a Rialto hidat egyszer élőben kell látni, ahogy a gótika és a reneszánsz építészet mindenütt jelen lévő remekeit is. Két nevezetesség között bátran kanyarodj le a szűk sikátorokba: ha szerencséd van, kis időre még a tömeget is elkerülheted, és előbb-utóbb biztosan visszakeveredsz valamelyik főbb útvonalra. Ne hagyd ki a Rialto piacait, ahol a híres halpiacot, Campo della Pescariát is megtalálod. Kóstold meg fekete, tintahalas spagettit, vagy ha óvatosabb vagy, a helyi szendvicset, a tramezzinót, és keresd meg a kedvenc kávézódat. Nem lesz nehéz dolgod: a velenceiek a kávéról is mindent tudnak, hiszen Európában itt nyíltak először kávéházak a 17. században.

Annak ellenére, hogy Bari egy nagy modern város, sikerült megőriznie a kisvárosok egyedi hangulatát. Ebben a városban az ősi épületek és szigorú gótikus kastélyok határosak az új kereskedelmi központokkal és éttermekkel, ami még vonzóbbá és elegánsabbá teszi Barit. Sétáljon végig a városközpont szűk utcáin, hogy elérje a Bari Katedrálist. A 12. században épült, kriptája a barokk művészet diadala. Ebben a labirintusszerű utcákban áll a barokk építészet egy másik szép példája, a gyönyörű San Nicola templom, amelyet ezer évvel ezelőtt építettek. A 1132-ben épült Normanno Svevo kastély a város egyik legjelentősebb látnivalója. A Régészeti Múzeum egy másik érdekes hely Bari-ban, mivel a város régi részén a feltárások még most sem álltak le, így a múzeum folyamatosan kap új kiállítási tárgyakat. Ha a nappalokat hagyományosan árnyas völgyekben tett nyugodt sétákra használják, az éjszaka Barit egy hangos diszkóvá változtatja. A divatos bárok, pubok és klubok készen állnak arra, hogy hajnalig szórakoztassák látogatóikat.
