Capri town is the primary settlement on the island and can be reached via a funicular railway that operates from the dock in Marina Grande. The square is surrounded by the "Torre dell'Orologio", or Clock Tower, and the island's main church, San Stefano. Anacapri, the island's second-largest settlement, is situated a few miles west of Capri town. Anacapri offers visitors numerous art and craft shops, as well as the opportunity to take a chair lift ride to the peak of Mount Solaro.
