Siloli Desert is a desert in southwestern Bolivia, located in the department of Potosí. Administratively, it lies within the municipality of San Pablo de Lípez in the province of Sud Lípez. It is characterized by its rock formations, which are the result of the strong winds in the region. The desert is considered one of the driest in the world due to the very low rainfall in the area. It is commonly included in tourist routes, as it serves as the gateway to the Eduardo Abaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve. Nearby are the colored lagoons as well as the great Salar de Uyuni. The desert is located at an average elevation of 4,500 meters (14,764 feet) above sea level.
