Medjugorje Bosnia and Herzegovina

Medjugorje is a beautiful small town in the lush green mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina, famous for reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary in 1981. Today, Medjugorje is one of the most visited places in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with many devout Catholics hoping to make a pilgrimage there at least once in their lives. Pilgrimages to Medjugorje can last from a few days to several weeks or even months. However, not everyone can afford such a long trip, so many people choose a shorter visit instead. Since it’s only a few hours from the popular city of Dubrovnik in Croatia, you can get to Medjugorje either by bus or by booking one of the many available private tours.
